Frage von calus:To have all the problems with Sony Lithium Batteries, NP-Fxxx.
These Batteries are fitted with three contacts s.der bottom.
2 round plug connectors, en flat connection. The two round Connections serve the camcorder supplies, s.dem flat is half the battery voltage
in Height of 3.6 volts. You can choose between both a round and the flat connection can be measured. Only if this voltage is present, it recognizes that the camcorder is a Lithium Battery. Sometimes the flat connector is dirty, signaled the camcorder: "Please use Lithium Battery"
Another thing the "memory" of Lithium Batteries.
The opinion of these types of battery have no memory is not quite right.
Even older Batteries NiCad Batteries sometimes behave as if they are not discharged to 10% below the nominal voltage, they no longer have the full capacity. That is, film 10 minutes, then charged again at the next film is only 10 minutes then turns off the camera!
So always use the camera to the automatic shutdown before the battery has been reloaded.

Your statement about memory effect at LION Batteries is definitely wrong.
Also to interim recharging does not reduce the capacity, as it was at the very NiCD Battery NiMH Batteries and the somewhat less the case.

Hi All,
There are obviously different experiences in dealing with LiIon Batteries. My first six Batteries have kept only of eleven months, then they have broken down very suddenly, that is, their operating time was considerably shortened and the minutes of show jumping is now in the same example of 60 minutes to zero. Some (vollaufgeladenen) Batteries do not even have held out 10 minutes before they are "empty reported.
Since then, I always discharge the battery (and they encamped synonymous discharged, as stated in the Instructions of Sonysteht) before I use it before the next recharge completely. Since I do this, I had no more battery discharged from active duty. ;-)

Hi Mark,
the storage of LION Batteries is its own story.
I have quite a lot to do with these parts, ussynonymous in my notebook.
Questions s.The Manufacturer and distributor of so-called brand batteries while never recommended the camps in the discharged state, but is either fully charged or half geladen.Eine rationale for these divergent responses, I have unfortunately never received.
At my old camcorder (JVC DV1), I had numerous Batteries, which were all treated the same, sometimes they died within a few months (I even received free replacement of JVC held) times / they think about 4 years without significant loss of capacity.
