Frage von past0r:Hi folks,
I (a concert, recorded rehearsal + concert), synchronized and send the whole s.The multicam editing.
Problem: in 9 video tracks + 1 master audio track -> The preview is no longer running smoothly!
To cope with the question: YES, at the dress rehearsal + live concert was played with click.
Unfortunately, I have myself in terms of "Vegas optimal settings" I never need to worry, so I'd be as grateful for any advice or instructions to improve performance.
Your Calculator:
Quad Core 2 2.6 gig 8Gig RAM, ATI X1950 Pro, 2x SATA HDD 500Gig
Vista Ultimate (; Designed for Performance -> bit processes)
Sony Vegas 9 Pro (; 64bit)
Footage: All standard DV.
1) What can I do in my case, to improve the preview?
2) How should one deal in principle with multicam stories?
3) Who can give me the best settings for my PC, or give tips.
I designed largely mean the setting under "preferences". The threads of www.vegasvideo.de I already know ...
Thank you for your efforts!

In a 9-camera multicam project, it is less a question of the optimal project settings, but rather a question of optimal Busperformance your hardware, if the preview could still run smoothly or not.
Once all 9 camera signals of only one or two hard disks come here, can no longer be liquid, because the disk performance is thus s.end.

Hi Marco,
erstmal thanks for the quick response.
I had until now always read that one (only the physical location of the project file, including Auslagerungsort the preview) and All Movie separated for this project relevant data. In short: Projektdateiort -> 1 HDD (; system) and other uses -> 2 HDD.
So your approach to the movie data on several of the one HDD HDD `s would be distributed.
Did you even a hint what I opt. Enter ways to "dynamic RAM preview" for a MB-value is? Up with me. 7166MB RAM available.
Antwort von Marco:
You have to remember that need to be read 9 different files in your case virtually simultaneously with a multi-cam project included a multi-cam preview. If at all 9 files are located on one disk, comes under the read head anymore. I would distribute the "cameras" at least 3 different hard disks. Depending on how the bus system is structured in the PC, it would be still a severe burden, because even with this data-flow data are still nearly 300 Mbps s.Daten in the system.
The value for the dynamic ram preview is to basically not of importance, unless you use the synonymous here and there for a Prerendering. The optimal value for this is usually just the one car enters Vegas after an initial installation.
