What software can I use the digital movies onto my hard drive get? If you want to stream, so the camera as a webcam use, or simply your movies for editing on the PC? If the latter, you need the Sony CD, but can have an x-firewire any editing program to use. XP had, for example, while the Movie Maker, Vista, a similar software interface.
For a stream that runs via USB, you'll need on the other hand, probably a driver. See this thread synonymous:

how do I build mine cam with a FireWire connection? ch brauchei about what and how am I doing this right?
Antwort von Bernd E.:
how do I build mine cam with a FireWire connection? A Male of the firewire cable (usually a 4-pin) comes into the camcorder, the other (for PCs usually a 6-pin, with notebooks 4 - or 6-pin) into the calculator - that's all. If your camera is then on playback, you can do with the video editing program of your choice. In addition, you'll find something certainly synonymous in the manual.
