Hello Dear Forum,
I have googled in the last hours VIIIIEL and have become smarter and hope you do not absolutely could help me.
I take on with my SonyDCR - HC17E (DV Camera) the development of my daughter. Previously, in a laptop with firewire and no problems had to get the videos in the calculator.
Now, my XP laptop his mind Posted "and I bought a new laptop with Windows 7
Now I see this weekend that this laptop has no Firewire port more, only USB and HDMI.
In the Stone Age I do not want to return and the videos via USB onto your laptop ....
But I have in my DV camcorder only these outputs:
USB
DV / Out (Firewire)
A / V Out
Lanc (no idea what that is is a blue round hole)
And the laptop I have these inputs:
USB
HDMI
Is there a solution to the DV - Out with a converter s.den HDMI port connect the laptop?
Or is there some other external solution?
I have already read some of what I said everything is nothing ...

you should take note that only one hdmi output but no input is, should your laptop have an express card interface it could be retrofitted thereon a firewire interface. everything else would be rubbish.
