did you ever checked whether SP2 is installed on your calculator? Have you uninstalled it now? - As I heard, meanwhile, is SP2 with the camcorder from the calculator sometimes not even recognized.
It might still be synonymous to the Firewire cable fault. What quality is your connection? See the article synonymous

So I have bought a Sonny I-Link Firewire cable!
And lo and behold it works!
