a newbie needs help ...
If my HDR-HC1 s.Firewire port of my PC (onboard on the motherboard and plug in a Asus A7V333), appears in the Device Manager, initially only a new entry under "Other devices". This is called AV / C subunit and has a driver conflict (The drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28)).
The body on this issue described s.anderer assistance (certain files with certain names in the Windows \ inf directory rename), unfortunately, will not synonymous to the desired result. However, I have never been a service pack contain old (please tell me now, nothing of "madness, HUGE security holes, etc.": This calculator will only be used offline, and until now synonymous everything went as expected! Never touch a running system ..) and would like to keep as synonymous.
There may be newer versions of the msdv.inf and the msdv.pnf? Mine are from 23.08.2001 or from 13.12.2002. If so, can someone updates e-mailed to me?
Now if I want to update the manual mentioned above Drivers and the Sony DV Camera Drivers select them, unfortunately I get the message "This device can not start (code 10)". Now I can not uninstall the drivers and am back s.Anfang.
On firewire it does not seem to lie. With the same cable I have on that PC of my old Panasonic NS-DV 100 easily captured, synonymous in the device under control, it appears as IEEE 1394 Bus host controllers Texas Instruments OHCI compliant IEEE host controller to 1394.
Am grateful for any constructive advice!

So SP1 should be, because of the IEEE1394 error without SP1.
Then install as an AV / C subunit>>> SONY. Or so it works with me to the FX1. SP2 will not undergo one respect HDV Optimization. What kind I have not able to find out.

I am not a specialist on the operating system level, but I can remember that I had a few months ago, when I wanted to capture with the FX1 and CapDVHS similar problems. Pure DV Drivers do not work, then I have a D-VHS recorder selected from the list of drivers and then it worked, but no Camera control, of course. In the meantime, however, have seen some video editing programs synonymous HDV camcorder.

Yesterday I read a while on various sites relating to. For example, the SP2 is a prerequisite for involvement in Premiere Pro 1.5.1 "HD aspect" of Cineform, which I actually already intend ... Since I have joined some time ago, however, a Logitech diNovo keyboard s.den PC and obviously with some of these problems are with the SP2, I chickened out once again. Would therefore create the safe time before uploading an image and scour the relevant forums about known problems with my hardware configuration.
What do you mean with install "as an AV / C subunit>>> SONY? Under Sonyals driver vendor my old XP Pro Drivers provides for multiple devices. Or is it in SP1 or 2, only one here? I can not imagine any way ...

the actual capturing unfortunately I'm still not at all. I will, however, after the release of the camera-recognition problem with the above combo Premiere Pro HD 1.5.1 and try to Aspect. Indeed, the camera control I do not entirely do without. Times that would certainly be ok (especially if you are the first ever with the new Cam filmed material transfer), so I will try it as soon as possible. If you are interested in the result, I am happy to post it here.

In Edius, I have full access to the Cam, or otherwise, I have a device controller. I think I've chosen the first-Sony device under SP1.
