Hi Folks
I need your help. My SonyHandycam DCR-HC39E has until recently worked flawlessly. When I use the device the last time wanted to do was display the dark about the Viewfinder I can still record movies. Is it possible that the display is disabled or has a defect. Thanks for your help.

Hello Tomi,
you can display the HC39 to my knowledge does not disable it. It could be much more of a defect s.der connection available, what the display with current and / or the video image supplied.
Remote diagnostics are just always a guess. ;-)

I have a DCR-HC17E and since today the same problem as some of you probably synonymous! When I stayed Handycam now dark and the display on the Viewfinder next film, I can absorb. Since almost all functions via touch screen done, I can now no longer on or switch. However, I have this problem now within about 1.5 years of the second time! At first, the flat cable to the display is exchanged, it was broken in the unit! It seems a common disease of SonyHandycam to be, since I have been involved in forums to get read. Will probably now sitting on the costs, although it is in my opinion a Konstrutions or material errors should be, because the display is intended for use!
