Frage von Streetclip:Hi, I'm new here and want to buy me a SonyPMW-EX1R, but the salesman talked me dizzy. In all the forums I'm definitely to the conclusion that there is a Sony Will. The seller wanted me a Sony HVR-Z5, or recommend a Canon XH-A1, because here I can still work with bands (but not full HD).
But now I know my s.Euch on these models not so out, so my question ... should I buy a NX5 or EX1R (apart from price)? I have read that I can not replace the lens with the EX1R, but we usually make a lot of live recordings.
Can you tell me your experiences on this would be really great.
What is the EX1R in the control fully automatically, or do you have everything here and manual adjust? Also we would like everything to DV / HDV tapes to record, because the dubbing always costs too much time.
We are currently working with a Sony HVR HD1000, of course I can not compare with a EX1R or NX5, so we want to film this year, finally, in full HD.
For with the concerts we rush with the HVR HD1000 too much, move synonymous with lights (moving lights), we have our problems.
Already, many thanks for your help.
Greetings Street Clip

Very clear case -> EX1R
rather give out a few ¬ more, with the NX5 you will not be happy!
I
have to work two s.and s.with
1. NX5 records in AVCHD (post-very unpleasant),
the EX1 is working with a very good mpeg2 codec, the finishing is very good.
2. Had now again until the problem with the NX5: very dark scenes have received (concert, sharp but dark), recorded with gain 0, on the subsequent processing (CC, Heligkeitskorrekuren), it is almost impossible to get out of the material to something out, Picture the rush very quickly and the AVCHD codec can not synonymous much leeway. The EXCAM EX series, however, has as a clear advantage.
3. Why choose NX5 is a 20x lens, the EX1 has only 14x (who needs it!), It can something synonymous with 120 fps.
4. NX5 for me is clearly a consumer cam, the EX1 is an absolute Semi-Pro, the only drawback is that it can only 4:2:0 record on card.
5. EX1 has 1 / 2 inches and NX5 only 1 / 3
6. The Lens of EX1R can be operated fully manual, but synonymous to full auto.
.......
I advise you therefore definitely of the starting NX5, if you want to work properly -> hands off of AVCHD
(An absolute AVCHD opponents!)

Tape recorder: The seller has since apparently lying around or a Z5, which wants to get rid of it absolutely ...
When EX1R you can control everything manual, but all synonymous auto. Each automatic Switch off individually. How good is the automatic, I do not know, I never use them.
NX5 or ex1: is NX5 cheaper next used widely Batteries (there are synonymous replicas), sensor triggers not Full HD on - only extrapolated (if synonymous pretty good), NX5 has 20x zoom, and a standard LANC connection, used house of cheap SD cards, monitor can be rotated synonymous to the right page.
EX1: more expensive, better image quality (with 1920x1080 sensor triggers really on, large sensor, less noises), a little replica battery, SxS memory cards are expensive, but there are good working adapter to SD cards. My feeling better handling (which I have tried just a NX5 only 2 hours ...). Data must be processed less synonymous with fast computers easier to Premiere CS 5 and a good graphics card, it is no preference.
I faced the same decision and have taken a EX1R.

(An absolute AVCHD opponents!) With the appropriate hardware and software but AVCHD is now really no longer a problem in the post ... This argument can slowly fall times under the table, synonymous when it spread here from time to time ...

General. If you have the money buy the EX1R.
The EX1R is in a whole different league. The two cams therefore can not really compare.
Irritates me only your question "What is the EX1R in the control fully automatically, or do you have everything here and manual settings?"
