Hi,
I would like to see now synonymous treat a camcorder ;-) I am a beginner, so I need not be synonymous to an old system, because of the tapes exist.
I have now for nearly a hard disk camcorder and decided you wanted to ask which of the following models would recommend it to me (as I said, I'm only amateur filmmaker, would however synonymous sports, if this is important to your decision).
SonyDCR-SR90, SR72 or SR290
The SR90 is a previous model, is this a disadvantage or makes the difference because of the quality is not so much noticeable?
I know many of you are now likely to beat their hands over their heads together on these issues, but since we have by now ;-)

please look first at Sony - they've got such a nice product comparison, hardly a user on the network should all have at home 4 models:

It could be any function so all the equipment and differences of models through 4-5 - but it would be very expensive. I do not think it makes someone here.
For the issue of sports, actually is not really able to Consumercam, when SR 190 / 290 but CMOS chip through both the super slow motion s.Bord, is based on only a few seconds and provides limited only VGA quality. Panasonic HVX 200 is so all-rounder in slow motion & Time Lapse - it only costs about 8x as much.
I think the SR 90 does not divide so much of the new SR 190 (watch the Product Comparison vs. SR 90 SR 190 - because there are plenty of errors), the slow motion (SR 190) and the old FP Battery (SR 90 - simpler external battery choice) and still a few trifles.
Synonymous Here we had a few minor details are:
SR 290 / SR 90 In the test reports are the new Sony models are almost always equal or only slightly improved on its predecessors. Sometimes synonymous worse as HC 23 HC vs. 27th
If the pixel data, the effect on the hard drive will still not quite clear - is the contribution helpful:
Panasonic SDR H 250 In short - I would SR 290 - because optical stabilizer or less money to take SR 190. As a friend of course, prefer Panasonic SDR H the 250th
