Frage von AcidArne:Hi, this is my first post here.
Normally I'm not the man who goes the same with all his problems on the bag, so this is really my last straw ...
I have the problem that I can not properly capture: (
I have seen many movies of my SonyDCR-HC40E via FireWire with Ulead VideoStudio 8 captured, but the last few weeks, I now move frustrated because it does not work anymore. Well, at least not correctly. I have for example a 80min miniDV tape and wants to capture it, but after capturing it shows me only 44min, although the tape was full. The rear part of gecaptureten video runs faster by a multiple, including sound.
But in the meantime I have changed nothing s.meinem system or settings. the same problem but I have been synonymous with an original Sony60min miniDV tape. There were on the last 20min s.and about 1-2 minutes for them to fast processes. So s.dem 80min Panasonic tape it is apparently not. I've already filled to the brim in front synonymous 60min tapes easily captured. When I connect the camera s.den Television, everything looks wonderful, just what it takes to hard drive is scrap.
System:
Board: Intel D875PBZLK, 800 MHz FSB
CPU: P4 2.8 GHz Northwood, 800 MHz FSB
RAM: 4x 512MB OCZ Dual Channel OCZ4001024PDC
HDD: 2 x 200 GB IDE Hitachi HDS722520VLAT80 7200RPM - UDMA 133 - 8MB Cache
OS: WinXP Professional
No idea whether the information will help, but s.der hardware, it should not be anyway. I have divided the two plates each with 2 partitions. The boot partition and the partition for the gecaptureten movies are not on the same hard drive. All disks are NTFS formatted and uncompressed.
What I have done so far:
1. Boot drive and target drive and cleared out every 5 or 40 GB shoveled space, then defrag.
2. Mainboard Drivers and FirweWire card drivers reinstalled.
3. Ulead VideoStudio 8 is replaced by 9.
4. Normally, I capture directly to DVD format, but I once tried to DV format of the camera to move. Result: The folder is huge and bright colors such as red and see verfäscht total shit out. Partially correct chromatic aberration, where the red marks depicted some thick white pixelated.
I have been a lot of posts and ransacked the FAQ, but my problem is either there or it does not represent me, arises under an unknown technical term.
I would be happy with a few good tips, synonymous when it sounds like a great puzzle ...

Hello!
The true cause I can not explain synonymous.
The error might be associated with the file size.
I would then proceed.
1. Capture in DV format.
2. Scene detection use. are many, but smaller files.
3. If scene detection is not possible (eg only one scene on the tape is). Recording divide (with overlap) and the re-editing program add together. This is frame accurate.
If DV does worse than MPEG which is lazy. DV data will be incorporated as a DV stream from tape and transferred only in a file format. The picture is not altered in contrast to MPEG.
Greeting!

First of all, thanks for the reply:)
The file size should not really the problem with NTFS, but I've been afraid sowas synonymous. Therefore, I have once synonymous only half captured by the tape again and had the same error.
The capturing to DV format was actually not very successful. I can not explain to me the cruel Picture synonymous, at least the original tape with the camcorder running s.Television connected 1A.

Hello Arne,
If all else fails, try it once a separate capture tool from, for example,
