Frage von curbgrinder:Hi,
I have a question relating to microphones.
In particular, it is about the built-in my Panasonic HDC-TM-700 are true, but purely fundamental is expected to at all.
Last week I had crackles at a rock concert filmed at the low notes and it always on the recording and I have the impression that this is not in any case is so healthy for the Micro.
Now my question, are the microphones at such an intensity of sound is broken? And if so, how can I protect myself against s.Besten?
is because the next question I ask myself then, even when I am filming at a concert and turn off the microphone would (as the sound come from somewhere else anyway) but the burden is still on or not?
The membrane in the micro (or piezoelectric) is yet still put in motion.
Thank you for your answers and time already, many greetings!
Marcel

Microphones can break down - but only at very high sound pressure levels (just like your ears).
One can not say, however, flat rate volume s.welcher damage may occur because of this depends on the distance, the size and the synonymous nature of the microphone.
At least I can give you the tip:
If the camera is no longer creates the sound level be kept under 0dB (ie, below 100%) and there is clipping, constant, then either shut down the Automatic level or the capacity of the built-in microphone is reached.

So I would turn it off so completely synonymous, so the level way down.
The question I have is my body only, then it still takes damage, even when the camera turned off because the level is indeed still there and presses on the mechanics!?
