Frage von bj_90:Hi All,
I am looking for the following, and since there's unlikely many different offers I thought I ask for when people with direct experience.
So I digitize a lot of old video tapes and use dafür_
Panasonic AG-7350 -> Canopus ADVC-300
The video will be added over the Firewire port as uncompressed AVI and has subsequently always with one Videoporgamm (Magix Video Deluxe) to MPEG-2 encoded. It always takes forever.
So I'm looking for a firewire card, which captured the video directly at (high quality) MPEG-2 on the PC. Is there sowas evtl of Canopus (sollja one of the best encoder to be)? Normally, I edit s.PC afterwards anyway, only the audio quality (for the ADVC-300 so it is in the envelope image correction options and wealth), and because the yes in the Smart Rendering mode is possible, the video already available as a ready MPEG-2.
What cards would be recommended as the synonymous price (for a student as to 400-450 ¬) is affordable?
Schonmal Thank you in advance!

Hey,
that you still do not even have to convert with Magix, since it is enough if you all avi files with the program "Super" at a time are converting to mpeg2 or whatever synonymous whatever you want.
You can synonymous with your current hardware capture directly as mpeg2, which has NOTHING to do with a firewire card ;-)
But you have to do is software that can convert to include in mpeg2 /.
Can not even Magix? Or else it can (to my knowledge) of the Windows Movie Maker is included with the installation of Windows.
I usually draw myself as a DV to avi, then I want to cut the data.
Now I've just searched on google and the views found here:
http://shop.watchtvpro.net/product_info.php?info=p41_HDV-Capture-Tool.html&XTCsid=mnodi5v2j7ikpk58jhrgo34vf5
That seems to be able to. But Is certainly synonymous freeware tools that record the video stream as a Firewire Mpeg2.
Many greetings and good luck ;-)

Thanks for the quick response! Although it really goes with MAGIX, however, is the quality of the MPEG video pretty grottig (Canopus seems to be a little bit at odds with Magix, so you can capture in one setting).
What kind of program do you use to record?
It seems to me that is very synonymous with the quality of the MPEG file, and I think there is Windows Movie Maker has the right (unfortunately: ().

As I said, I draw if they do, mostly DV-avi 's on. I take the cut with Premiere CS4 on to the data.
In the professional field, I draw on ZDF on so-called OMF or MXF media files.
All this, however, has very, very little to do with that which you would like to have.
Canopus seems to be a little bit at odds with Magix, so one can only capture in a setting What's that for a mental deficiency? Canopus is nothing more than a firewire card, which converts an analog signal to a digital offering and the PC. It is absolutely no preference whether you a camera with Firewire out and analog used in the digitizing, or if you use the Canopus ADVC. At the Canopus A / D converter is there with any certainty.
Just use the right software to capture as mpeg, if you is not enough, the quality of Magix.
Many greetings!
