Hi,
a friendly tape asked me if I could turn it for a music video in the style of Amsterdam of fat bread.
I must admit I was surprised because first of all relative. But of course I gladly accepted. After I had listened to their ideas I've been thinking for now.
So firstly I need a Super 8 camera. And since I have not yet engaged with the large Gebit, I know, unfortunately, not what am I to take on loan. The problem would be synonymous: What rental does not have Super 8 cameras on offer? The only camera that would occur to me would be the Nizo of brown. Since one has to hear only positive about it ... right?
Secondly, I would have to digitize the recorded material so let? as anyone ever had experiences where the s.besten going?
And maybe at the end ... you have had experiences with Super 8 can make and if so how they are run?
I'm curious.

Our own experience with Super8 I have very little, but in the camera area concentrates on two Manufacturer stand for high quality: Canon (with the models 814 and 1014 as highlights, both in different versions) and primarily Beaulieu, whose cameras practically as the Rolls -Royce in Super8 format were. I would not really want to shoot more on Super 8. I'm in the early 80s as a child, stop-motion animated films with the super made 8 of my grandfather and later before the first S-VHS camcorder small movies that rotated.
There are so many things not to do so:
1. You have no experience with it. You have no idea looks like the end result. Trial and error in this case is not just video views, the camera display or s.Notebook ankucken and try again. The movie will be mailed to us, developed, sent back into the projector, etc.
2. The image quality of Super 8 is modest. First, we have no anamorphic 4:3 picture, which is now rather undesirable. Second, we have Resolutionauf old SD standard.
3. The film rolls as my memory is only 3.5 minutes. What are you alone s.Spulen need for a tape video that are so cheap these days, including development of non-synonymous.
4. The analog footage must be synonymous again digitally sampled for the cut. I do not think you want a classic work with scissors and tape.
To accomplish this super8 Look I would rotate with a DSLR. Who of the gamma curve and the color space already in about the look where you want to go. Then post colors rotate, slide gamma curve and may still work with effects such as image / tremor, scratches, dust, hair, etc..
Super8 has no big DOF. So when exactly Super8 look is desired, select a maximum aperture from 4 to 5.6, otherwise it looks more like S16 or S35 from.

The 1014 Canon XL because I make good pictures but as I said even with my Bauer projector is the rather poor quality of today - and I would recommend the recordings synonymous edit s.PC to talk and act around the look.

As is digitized with a film scanner (not a filmed screen or projection TV screen and thus not a "hotspot").
The Nizo synonymous was good but you should consider whether you want to do that to you this whole drama. Even if S8 is popular again in modern productions can, you go out like that one a lot of effort was made with the light. Unfavourable Lighting at S-8 looks shit, more so than for video. I would start with the video camera and cause nerve in AE grain, vignetting and a few scratches and try to lean the colors and contrasts s.Filmmaterial. The whole whining about jerky pictures here in the forum, you get this characteristic of S-8 to probably for free. From Digieffects there is another film Damage plugin.
