HI, for years I use Pinnacle Studio (various versions) and to the end, I use the SonyHDR-FX7. The constellation of HDV and output to Blu Ray is what affects the quality's okay for my purposes. As for me, but annoying is the poor speed and high sensitivity of the WIN system. I'm on the cut-Calculator WIN no updates (without connection to the Internet) and the PC is dedicated only for the cut. Since a few days I am thinking whether I should risk a change in the MAC world. My goal is to spend but still at BR. I want to buy me a MacBook Pro 15 "for it. But what kind of system, Final Cut Express? Or Final Cut Pro? In the description, unfortunately, is nothing more than a way to burn BR. For additional question is how big is the difference in the incorporation into The new program, Express or Pro? If not all too great, I would prefer to Pro may with no further ways to block, or is that for my purposes, "too high". Should I order directly to 8 GB of Ram? Or is it 4 GB? Can someone help me maybe?

You better purchase another Windows system. There is more universal and less expensive. Under MacOS X, there is a completely different operating concept and it has little choice in the editing software. Those who prefer not otherwise required or a Mac, it should not just start editing of shooting them.

All true. BD is synonymous not yet supported. On the other hand, if you cut really the most important thing, is a MacPro with FCS not an expensive, but in reality the most favorable condition. Everything is relative, and now please leave the guns in the basement.

"Too slow" is not a pure Windows problem. "Too slow" can be a synonymous Apple. And just something about the future: Yes, synonymous Apple computer hang or crash at times;)

I would be synonymous to say NO! Stay with Windows and buy yourself a faster Calculator or getting ready for. Slow speed is in my view, no reason for a complete system change. Incredibly fast, stable and secure is your workflow will not, believe me. At least not as measured s.den high cost, because we know that yes, you pay at the MAC for the name and the design is still with.
And yes, I know and use both systems ...

I have not even re-installed since the upgrade to Mac nen my system. Windows, I completely demolish and rebuild at least a year must (if one separates private and work computer ... but synonymous Windows runs much more stable than when it is regularly "zumüllt"). My Mac, I can as I want .... clutter if the garbage is gone, he comes into the trash and ready ... all is forgotten!
