Frage von hishiryo:Hello,
I regularly throw at the capture from the computer (desktop and laptop synonymous, both with XP SP2). It always comes just a few minutes without any problems and then 'Bätscher', total crashes). Incidentally, I have the same problem with the DVB-T Stick, synonymous only after a few minutes duration. On the memory is not, the block is ok. Have no other problems with the computers. Somehow, spinning only the applications, where graphics or image data stream into the PC. Has anyone any idea what can it be? I am really like the ox in front of the mountain!

... both with XP SP2 ... One of the pieces of the puzzle about capturing (from digital camcorder?)
Antwort von mkrawietz:
Yes, it's a digital camcorder.
Mark: Your answer is: XP SP2 does not support capture? What can I do?

If the crash that expresses that the PC shuts down and restarts only after 10-20 seconds, I suspect (from experience) that the processor is too hot. I had the problem with an AMD, the user simply switches off at 80 degrees, and the maximum processor load occurs when rendering and capturing (nunja). I had to unscrew the fan from the processor and to clean the heatsink, I saw the fins of sheer filth anymore.
Alternatively, it can be synonymous s.dem power supply, which if it happens with graphics and image processing, synonymous increases the demand for electricity.
And the graphics card would be synonymous still a possibility of error.
I advise you the following procedure:
1. Mach mal capture until the next crash, go immediately back up the calculator, go to the BIOS and look at the CPU temperature. About 55-60 degrees is problematic.
2. When Pts 1st okay, take a test hard disks. And although a full analysis. Defective sectors can sometimes synonymous to contribute to a crash.
3. Exchange views vielleich from the graphics card (you still have an old lying around).
4. When power supply is problematic. Since you have probably ran with the measuring device to determine the peak-to. Not all power supplies synonymous create gekennziechnete load.

Hello Mark and UNIVERSL,
Thank you for your advice I will try what I can and then report.

.... if it is not working s.beiden computers, the problem of heat but very improbable. Since joins a faulty power supply from synonymous and synonymous otherwise a hardware defect is hardly the cause for .... s.zwei computers simultaneously? Sorry ... rather bet on a problem with the hardware connected, Camera and dvb stick. I would be introductory offer, the external "Hardware" again s.einem third Calculator. XP SP2 seems to me as one synonymous worthwhile starting point ... the problem is usually "thinks secular" than one. Process of elimination, please!
