Howard Hawks Sunday 10:45 6.May 2007 / Arte

He was one of the wichigsten American directors and profiled in numerous genres. Him we owe those exquisite classics such as the gangster film "Scarface" (1932), the Screwball comedy "Bringing Up Baby" (kisses leopard can not, 1938), the film noir "The Big Sleep" (dead sleep firmly, 1946), the SF-horror film "The Thing From Another World" (The Thing from Another World, 1951), the Western "El Dorado (1966) or the adventure film" Hatari! (1962).
This documentation comes in 1977 or late master himself to speak. He talks about his film work, his friendship with Hemingway and Faulkner and gives some anecdotes about filming and the best actor. Example, did the great John Wayne fear of whipping scenes with Montgomery Clift. In addition, there are lots of clips from the shoot can be seen.

Interestingly, I found the information about Hawks s.Set work: always absolutely receptive to his proposals to other actors or scenes or dialogues to improve - quite confident :-)

Nett was synonymous, but the man knows so, if one of his films somewhat better known, his relaxed attitude to ideas / scenes to copy - either to himself or others - is fair, as Peter Bogdanovich tells synonymous others copied his ideas have Bogdanovich as with the "What's Up, Doc?" has made the "Bringing Up Baby" ( "leopard can not kiss") of Hawks is quite similar. However, he has so synonymous remakes his own film, A Song Is Born (1948) / Ball Of Fire (1941) and the late Western synonymous are all very similar - to say nothing of the strong female characters all have to be synonymous, as in the documentation Angie Dickinson claimed ....
