Dear All, me is something quite strange happened: I just cut a concert. There are 6 songs that I've almost finished. All the pieces of film (about 20 of 3 different cameras) are on an ext. hard drive saved. I have a project almost done. On the last song, I had the crash of Premiere too colorful and I disconnected the calculator, can be upgraded to 1GB of RAM and re-clamped. All went well until I noticed that some pieces of film suddenly another picture (from another piece of film) for sound (not shown Luckily all). How can that happen, then, that the picture suddenly of another clip is played? The original image is apparently gone. Very annoying. Can the upgrade, or when disconnecting the ext. drive happens to be hard? And if so, why only some?

I remembered now that I have recently, three new TV clips captured. These are precisely those who have transferred my old clips. Strangely, however, only the picture. I personally is completely unclear what you want to testify with regard to the temporary files in general. As the name suggests, are the files are generated when the memory is not sufficient, for example, and then delete the return of the application are synonymous. Thus, the user has to do nothing at all. You have totally wrong ideas as well. Or do you speak of the project files? Some clips is now as next to the name given: Close up 02 car another file with the name: temp021.000 been created. This file will contain synonymous, the video data, which can be seen s.der size. I thought with temp files. Maybe I have misunderstood synonymous. But not yet explained the phenomenon that some clips of the new clips appear to have been overwritten, as only geasgt the Picture. Sound and assigned name of the source clips are preserved. As the gecaptureten a clip can be run on even a different image information?

Is it technically possible, if one reads only the Picture and thereby inadvertently contains an existing clip, with the Picture and Audio, overrides that, then the old name and the audio track remains intact, but will see the new image information?? ? Otherwise I can not explain to me soon. But I do not synonymous knew that I would simply replace an old clip ..: (

The problem seems to lie with your preview files. Do the following times: Premiere quit. Rename the folder "Adobe Premiere Pro Preview Files" to "Adobe Premiere Pro Vorschaudateien_OLD. Premiere restart and opening Project. The timeline should now be visible several red lines that must be re-rendered. Press ENTER and Project can be expected - it will automatically create a new folder, "Adobe Premiere Pro Preview Files". If no severe damage has happened, it would then vote again. Thanks Wiro, I just let these "mysterious" clip in Media Player and the Storm Edit and run as it is) the same (Sound and Old name - Picture of another clip. I will try it with the preview files still. And jaja - I know, would convert the middle of the Project does not do. Premiere crashed but as I said very often, but soon I will change to EDIUS 3 and then I hope it runs better.

This was perhaps a job until everything was arranged properly again! The company ran s.wie the Memory Game, only with audio files rather than with cards.
Should your system actually video - and audio data into separate AVI and WAV files stored? - Now if the hard drive just the TOC has written and while the calculator has crashed, this could be one explanation for the places, wrong classification of the data.
But what would you use an insight about the possible cause, the bottom line? - You should have plenty of hand one way or another before Gov. ..

Dear All, it can be s.Einlesen. To me it is just that is happening again when I wanted to capture a new video piece for the project, he gave me back an old clip overwritten with new picture information. When importing into Premiere it gives the location of the recorded movies once s.and the location of the video preview and the location of the audio preview. Could it be that at the premiere video clip previews of the most recently read simply overwrite the picture. It looks like that one has after reading a new clip (which anyway would have synonymous) but synonymous remain the clip that was loaded earlier with the video portion (Audio + file name, but there are) the current has been overwritten. AAAAAHHHHH. How can we prevent it?

Have you tried it already? The preview files are created so regardless of the premiere of recorded video - and audio files. (Normal behavior described but is not) anyway.
