This XF100 for ~ 1800 ¬ and the XF300 would be great for ~ 3800 ¬ and Canon in the game - but at current prices - who should really be because your target group? With a list price of 7,000 euros each but would prefer to purchase a Sonyin in the EX series.

The pricing of the XF series is making Canon few friends intended, but I wonder in the slashcam article called price of 4000 dollars for the XF100 and 5000 dollars for the XF105: That would be full $ 1,000 more than in the past of Canon USA targeted were and is for a 1 / 3 "Einchipper sure completely covered. 3000 ¬ for the XF100 in this country seems more realistic and would mean Canon is still a premium surcharge over the competition.

Had the XF105 at Photokina as prototype device in his hand and was annoyed only by the misplaced focus and zoom buttons in front of the monitor - if that was folded out, these keys were not more or less in spite of small finger reach.
For max. UVP 2500, - ¬ would probably still consider this camera for the EB-TV company, but 4000, - $ - then change but probably some of Panasonic or Sony. Too bad.

Hmmm .... the data rate is not quite accurate a picture quality of 25Mbit at 4:2:0? That means "only" that instead of every 4 2 pixels for each color information available.
The impact on the data rate may vary depending on image content compression caused even smaller. I would imagine that about 35 to 40 Mbps for 4:2:0 25p or 25i corresponds to FHD can, if the influence of the better color resolution of the codecs out of it.
