Frage von nahmo:Hello,
I need a clamp shell for my DV6-head, see here:
http://www.marcotec-shop.de/de/products/cat_272/detail_1906.htm
This of course is relatively expensive and I had to get in front of me just a threaded rod, a metal cup and a knob to. However, I have found in hardware stores in the head no matching thread. M8 and M10 is too small, too large.
My question: Has Sachtler very cleverly created a separate in-between, and I depend on the product or can someone give me a DIY tip?
At a used dish, plus matching thread I would of course synonymous interested.
Thanks for answers. Greeting

It is expected to have to be a 3 / 8 "UNC thread, how to use it for connection of 90% of all tripod heads.
Is not a metric thread. In America you can find appropriate bolts and threaded rods at any hardware store, but for us it is something more exotic.
