You should switch to Camera s.der not have to, but have you tried, whether it may still synonymous with Battery work? And what stands in the manual? Most likely you will remain as the only solution, but only the purchase of a new power supply.

Hello, and why the battery goes not to transfer the video to PC? Possibly because some Brainy thought at Canon, that a sudden power loss (battery empty) possible read or write operations on or of the plate could lead to serious data loss.
This can be seen as good, if you pull the USB cable while data is transferred to the external hard drive. This usually is no irreparable damage, USB flash drives can be destroyed but so (especially the cheap).
And for the rest: Bernard has been extensively tested. So check it out - should be faster than waiting for answers in a forum.
