Frage von pinnacle 99:Meal
I have a JVC DV Cam and a movie in 16:9 even included in landscape mode and synonymous in portrait mode, now I want to cut the individual portrait sequences with Pinnacle 12 and next to edit and of course synonymous rotate 90 degrees ....
If now someone thinks "phew, but NEN is old hat, with Virtual Dub you can rotate, or synonymous with Pinnacle 12 shows effects on the rotational function" yes, true ....
AAAAB although I again notebook (with Pinnacle 12) all output formats in the preferences have changed the play, sometimes 4-3, sometimes Widescreen, time, PAL, NTSC times I get to the Rotate with Virtual Dub
always a compressed version of my video. ... only for when I put the notebook on the Page, I see the correct proportions. Please help so I weitertkomme eeeendlich!
Thank you.

you should go and be aware that has a 16:9 pixel aspect ratio of 1.44 to 1, width to height, then you turn the pixel to 1.44 px wide will be squashed in a pixel because the pixel aspect ratio is not rotated (! ) that you have to rescaling by free (without conservation of the page offset ratios) back.

Hi,
thank you before for your answer.
It is so that everything is perfect, except for the fact that I turned the video I can only look with head tilted, it is no longer on the video .... yes vote in the proportions, then it must be feasible but synonymous to turn this or? Exactly how do I rotate a picture synonymous, there is only synonymous but no such uprising ;-))
The relationship can not remain the same, fair enough then so can the general view will be smaller, but that should not be the prob. be ...
A rotated video with aspect ratio of 4:3 I can turn without any visible loss synonymous and synonymous with compression as Virtual Dub, why not go with the 16:9?
What do you mean with the rescaling for free?

you should go and be aware that has a 16:9 pixel aspect ratio of 1.44 to 1, width to height, How do you get to that number?
16:9 = 1.77777 ...
synonymous 1920:1080 = 1.77777 ... (Full-HD)
and 1440:1080 = 1.33333 ... (HDV)

Antwort von srone:
here it is not s.sich to the aspect ratio, but the pixel aspect ratio (keyword: rectangular pixel) and is here, wide to height, minidv 4:3 1.09 to 1 1.44 to 1 at 16:9, at hdv you're right, 1.33 to 1 corresponds to the following statement 1440x1, 33 = 1920, in full hd, there is no pixel that is rectangular pixel aspect ratio of 1 to 1

What do you mean with the rescaling for free? when you turn a 4:3 video, is the error (pixel aspect ratio of 1.09 to 1) in barely noticeable area, is still there, from 1.44 to 1, it already looks different.
free means rescaling, the broad, and the height, independently (from the aspect of scaling).
