Newsmeldung von slashCAM: Ulead VideoStudio 10 Pros Review of thomas - 12 Jun 2006 15:21:00 Critical Review of the new version of Ulead's VideoStudio. Especially the HDV editing seems immature to be slow and unstable. The various wizards, however, be commended for their valuable assistance.

I Have a week increased the version installed and 10 pros.
For me it is just a matter of the films were recorded on a satellite map, rauszuschneiden advertising and burn then.
Was my previous path, record broadcast on rausschneiden PowerDirector advertising, ergbt one qualtitative good mpg2 file, then burned the file on a Mac using Toast. If the file was too large, has packed her car a little toast. The quality is always very good so far.
Now I wanted to beat 3 Flying with one stone. Thus, the MPEG file in Ulead invite rausschneiden advertising and burn the same on the PC.
Now it is so that the burned file, so the finished DVD s.TV a bit out of true running. I mean, that's kinder to jerky frame rates. The film does not appear in liquid in contrast to my previous way of working that I was actually a bit too complicated, but qualitatively very good.
My output options for DV are:
MPEG files
24 bits, 720 x 576, 25 fps
Picture-based
(DVD-PAL), 4:3
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 7000 kbps)
Audio data rate: 256 kbps
Dolby Digital audio, 48 KHz, 2 / 0 (L, R)
But this unfortunately does not fit on the DVD.
So I had a step down:
MPEG files
24 bits, 720 x 576, 25 fps
Picture-based
(DVD-PAL), 4:3
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 4000 kbps)
Audio data rate: 256 kbps
Dolby Digital audio, 48 KHz, 2 / 0 (L, R)
And this attitude is really useless ...

So the point here:
I captured HDV footage as DV footage s.well using VS 10, and even when using the proxy mode for HDV editing, which uses smaller-sized clips for editing and then substitutes the full-resolution clips when you're done, it was impossible to get jitter-free playback of the HD video. I had looked at times - and can not confirm the Finding of the author so. ) Also not on my current, much weaker machine (3.2 Ghz P4. At least 1080 50i clips were easy for me with the very liquid from proxy files in the preview. If we contrast HD2 clips played directly, then the smooth preview synonymous works for me anymore. With the proxy files but that should really go - just let us pretty much in the dark by the local tests, has used the proxies of the testers actually. Could have been true DV proxies, but clearly is not. "jitter free is" Keep it a question - we need really to proxies?
At one point I give the test, but rather, in any case: many NLEs still show development needs for the processing of HDV material. Whether you want to stop using an entry software, I rather think it is a strange thing - but to do much more expensive NLEs with HDV at the moment still quite difficult to stop in various respects.
