Most of the CC function with Photo rarely have time for more than 3Mio. Pixels and are also priceless (well, at least more expensive).
Is there such a device?
Good photo quality, high speed, large zoom range and yet affordable?
Am pleased with your comments and thoughts on the matter.

there should not be making concessions, or buy two devices
One eg. JVC MC 500 films quite well despite MPEG2 but your 5 megapixel photos were in several reviews from zb. Video Aktiv Digital Color Stillimage or not to some extent with 4 megapixels or even 5 megapixels match (solid color noise)
The other zb SonyW 5 makes really good Stillimage's only MPEG movies with 640x480 30 frames per second (about 75 MB per minute) you can indeed see s.Screen
but have no chance against a Mini DV picture ala entry-level price SonyHC 17

Probably had the time so no chance to find a device to s.Markt.
Canon MVX25i example, has only 2 MP photo resolution and the Panasonic NV-S GS140EG just 2.3 MP who SonyHandycam DCR-HC22's enough 3MP was theoretically already for reasonable photos.
I think shooting a camera with 3.3 to 5 MP photos and videos to me, the good would be enough.

most likely it would be cheaper, the bottom line, if you a digicam you ( "camera") with 5 megapixels and a separate MiniDV camcorder for a true PAL-DV recording purchase. Then you need not lose out in terms of synonymous Stillimage-Resolutionund the camera-light to make, but each could pick out the optimum for you.
At a large zoom range for digital snap of you will not have to give. Which there is again only with appropriate s.digitalen lens reflex cameras.
