Hello dear "colleagues", am new here, have used the search function and even dare to ask a first question. ;-)
I use Pro 8 and am impressed of the converter. My hardware is a Core 2 Quad 8200 PC with 4 GB on (please do not kopschütteln * lol) still Vista (laüft actually fine).
We filmed with a Pentax DSLR and the Kx spits pretty good MJPG 720/24p movies in avi container.
I'm in Vegas 8 with the speed in the processing of the format no problem, the preview runs depending on the filter as between 10 and 24 fps.
My question: I see it right that in the updates to Pro 9 and Pro 10, were primarily performance improvements (eg, AVCHD, etc.) and codec adaptation in the foreground, or are there significant improvements in workflow, in compositing, or the filters?
I ask because I'm probably lucky that the AVI container with MJPG works well in Vegas and I was wondering if I then save the admittedly very reasonable ¬ 120 for an upgrade better. I'm not stingy, but if it is not worthwhile are really, 120 ¬ for me to create better.
