Hi folks,
As already described in the title, I try to capture old VHS-C material.
And this with help of "YUV DV Converter Datavideo DAC-2", but there is always to frame loss.
Per half hour, I raise my loud (premiere 1.5), 73 frames were skipped.
At DAC I have the original camera, with which the material was recorded, had previously tried on VHS recorders and cassette adapter, but the same problem.
Why is that?
What can I do?

The video signal appears to be so bad that the converter will lose synchronization. When TV is known to be less fastidious with respect to the video signal.

I've nem friend of the Pinnacle MovieBox DV loan and the time connected and lo and behold, with the everything went perfectly.
VHS-C material is of such poor quality anyway, there was no loss of quality here anyway to be expected.
But Mark, you're right.
The forfeited gone then occurred when frames were just blank areas on the tape.

I have several times in front and back wound, the errors were always s.den exact same place.
With a lot cheaper MovieBoxDV no errors occurred.
