Hello,
After I wundgesucht me any results in various forums and nothing understood, I shall briefly explain the words of a Novice with what I have done to with my Aldi Medion PC of 2005 and the software program PowerCinema my old VHS Cassettes to digitize and burn it to DVD. Maybe that will help other beginners synonymous.
In addition to the PC, I used:
- An old standard VHS VCR with scart socket (which is the large, rectangular 21-pin output, which in my rear s.VHS recorder).
- A cable with SCART or RCA composite connectors (the part of the scart cable has an in - / out switch, which should be on "out" and goes s.anderen end over three times smaller in the white colors and have red) (for stereo sound) and yellow (for Picture. I then proceeded as follows:
- I plugged the scart cable into the VHS recorder (switch to "out").

- Now I have called the program "PowerCinema" on the computer.
- Click In Cinemas power to "TV"
- Then click on "Picture Source"

- If you now have a VHS tape into the VCR connected as described above is happening, you should see the VHS video on the computer screen.
- Now just in the menu that appears s. below the screen of the screen when you move the mouse, click on "Record" (the button is the red square).
If the film is finished, click "Stop" (which is the white square button far left).
Done. The program has the VHS video is recorded and digitized while () in mpg.
Now you can have the file on DVD burn (for me PowerCinema put them in the directory ... / my documents / own video / TV recording), as also of the Aldi supplied program "with Nero.

Can this possibly be the reason? Yes. This partially occupied Scart plug transmitted in one direction only, and are therefore not synonymous sets in - / out switch, with which one direction.
