Hi, I really wanted to burn my VHS than DVD, but what is either broken or I have the wrong cable connected. So I'm s.Videorecorder a SCART / RCA adapter, the switch is on out. From there, the cable goes from the S-video connection to S-video connection to my video camera (SonyTRV 120E) and of there via Firewire into the calculator. On the one tape I get only a Schwar-white picture, of the other I only get nen strips on top. I finally s.den the recorder to television, running both cassettes normal. Thus, I can probably exclude that the tape or the recorder is broken. From the camera, I can synonymous transferred to a PC. So the fault must lie between video and camera.

Is your VHS recorder from a S-video signal (like a SVHS recorder)? (The question is rhetorical and meant to be understood as food for thought).

thanks for the quick reply. A food for thought is not bad, but I still can not get next. Last year, everything works without problems, as I am with the VCR directly into the calculator (TV card), but suddenly, it was not longer (only picture, no sound more) and I do not know why. A VHS recorder is only a composite of signal, but no S-video. For this reason, the picture is black and white. The camcorder gets something else (composite) than he expected (S-video).

I found grad yet another cable. It has a Page on the 3 RCA Male and on the other Page only one time, of which I do not know what he means. In any case, it fits into the camera and bring me over the Picture. Synonymous, and the sound. * freu * BUT! Could it be that dubbing can not be any tape? Both cartridges can s.Television watch normally. But only one can be transferred to Studio9, of the other I get only a narrow strip at the top s.Rand.

In both cases, the video signal may not conform with the standards. A television usually has a relatively large capture range for such "excesses", but a camcorder / recorder there is thus often difficult. A solution could be Timebase Corrector (TBC), but whether something is worthwhile for one or two overdubs?
Or consult a professional in order. Of course, this only works if there are no copy-buying cassettes.

Hi All,
it was probably not s.den videocassettes, because there are now only two cassettes in the stripes and s.and s.ein Picture to see. A 2nd VCR I've tested synonymous, but because it is not synonymous. From the camera I can capture normal synonymous. So the problem must probably be the cable between the VCR and Camera? But yes, it really fits. On the VCR IN / OUT scart adapter that appears on OUT hangs out the 3 RCA connectors are plugged and the cable ends with a single time that goes into the camera, stands in a socket on the audio / video.
Can someone please tell me where I might have the bug, or how do I get the problem solved?
