Frage von bayer:Can someone help me.
Since 2 weeks I am the proud owner of a DVD camcorder. Was previously a VHS. I was very impressed of my new video camera, because the DVDs I just stuck in my player and this still works even synonymous (Yamaha DVD 530; else swallows it very rarely somewhat burned).
Since I always had the shots in the PC wanted to edit (ie cutting, titles, music, etc.) I thought that a DVD was the best.
When I now edit the DVD, I wanted only the enormous problem.
First, tell me the different format and has nothing on the other hand, synonymous Does nothing.
2 weeks intensive search in all forums brought no result. All very wiedersprüchlich.
Habs Try with rename (in mpeg, vob)
Ulead Video Studio 10
AdobePremiereElements3
MagixVideoDeluxe10, 5
not everything works !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do what I wrong or is there a solution. This should, however, for a Leien understandable.

Mach ich was wrong [...?] Not directly. The DVD is a distribution medium and contains the only recordings in hochkomprimierter form. This is something to want to edit, and is bordered s.Masochismus only with major restrictions.
Since 2 weeks I am the proud owner of a DVD camcorder. You have 14 days right of return, when you turn on the camcorder in the mail have purchased. Hopefully it is not too late for the exchange against a MiniDV device ...

AAHhhh bring him back again soon or leave it in ebay verhökern.
With DVD camcorders generally only hear bad. MiniDV is the only true. In the case of normal consumer camcorder

Thanks for your honest opinion.
Had what I hoped for better. That with the exchange, I will tackle.
Antwort von texorama:
A DV camcorder is certainly the best solution. You can read the DVD recordings, however, without great expense edit with VirtualDub and then open as AVI and save it with any editing software edit. A certain loss of quality, however, is inevitable

Did the cam now, fortunately, can return. Now I am again facing the same problem: What miniDV? Which Manufacturer?

In the department "Camcorders General" and "camcorder purchase advice" of this forum you will find the first one thousand responses to your question.
If you read with the finished Slashcam offers some camcorder reviews and tests.
However, you should read but not all, otherwise you're only finished when the format does not exist any more :-)
