I would like to have a finished cut DVD, of which I only have the VOB files have a little more correct. This had me thinking that I rename the VOB to MPG, hanging in a row, and then simply can correct. But unfortunately, where the VOB's meet, a small jump (although the DVD is correct). Can someone explain to me why this is so, and how can I remedy this?
Regards Stephan

This is because every single VOB file is a file header with certain metadata, that is not "pure film" is. The aneinanderhängen (probably copy / b) produced in a single file, but in the middle takes the player to something unexpected: a header line. The should have gone. Possibly VOBEdit? Virtual Dub? Or in the editing program of your choice and completely re-import issue (worst possible).

Hello Eugen Of ...
thanks for the hint. I've done with VOBEdit, and then I get the files out perfectly. Now, I have the following problem: When I use the whole into my editing software import, replace a small piece, and then create a DVD that can affect significantly the quality of anything. Have you (or someone else) an idea how to prevent it?
Thank you!
Regards Stephan

DVD is a compressed format. 1 hours DV consumes 13 GB at moderate compression, which is the same Resolutionwie a DVD (720x576). Now yes, you can estimate how compressed a film must be to get 2 hours = 26 GB on a DVD = 4.7 GByte get (even on a DL would be quite gruslig). There are stop ugly compression artifacts. Such a picture is then compressed in the editing program unpacked, but it retains the artifacts - the next time evaporation will be significantly worse. Is how it is. About the reasons I took a week or so times it is written.
Conclusion: nothing can do, had to look at ... sorry.

Hi Stephan,
make sure that not re-encoded as far as possible, it remains the original quality. At best, the set pieces you may need to be adjusted. Effects you use filter or the relevant parts of course, are synonymous re-encoded. Whether that is with your software I can not say. A freeware version would be: - Demux with Vobedit or PGCDemux - Cut (without major effects), for example with Mpeg2Schnitt - eine neue DVD authoren with z.B. GfD (Gui for dvdauthor, if possible use Muxman)
