Frage von Gerri:Hello professionals,
I want to convert VOBs to Xvid or Divx to burn multiple movies then (3-4) on DVD - as a data DVD.
I think that the quality of a 1.500MB AVI-easy for a 2h movie more than enough if I do not necessarily translate into 5.1 sound effects, multiple languages, menu navigation, etc. am sharp. Unfortunately, my 4-year-old DVD player can not read AVI format.
But a new DVD player and a DVD Burners I can buy, yes.
So the following questions:
- Can you play "modern" DVD Players DIVX or XVID now without any problems - with the same quality as s.Calculator - without missing a beat, etc., egg heads?
- Are these then expensive high-end products that meet or synonymous Billigteile (but make surreptitious times)
- Convert ribs and indeed appears to be relatively simple (eg DVD Shrink and AutoGK). There are still stumbling blocks that make the whole process to an evening filled program for weeks?
- How it looks with copy protection and so on? Do I have to adjust myself to the fact that not very many movies I can handle it this way?
- Is there firmware to get my players up to date with? (I have a Red Star 510g - so far I have not found anything suitable on the net)? Should we try this?
Does anyone know the silver bullet? I would be grateful for your tips.

why bother? Blank DVDs cost more but the world. In addition, you are expected to purchase (pressed) DVDs longer than the self-burned backups. Learn More:
durability DVD ± R or DVD-RAM - Can "modern" DVD Players DIVX or XVID [...] now play without problems? No, a DVD player must explicitly support DivX. And even then there is no guarantee that your future with just the player you used DivX version of compression and is working correctly. That you'd have in a particular case (yet s.besten try before purchase in the shop).
- Are these then expensive high-end products that meet or synonymous Billigteile? Suffice here Billigteile synonymous. Funnily enough, that often (not always) more format s.als play a highly priced brand player. A concrete model, I can not tell you, however, especially because the offer is constantly changing here.
- How it looks with copy protection and so on? Do I have to adjust myself to the fact that not very many movies I can handle it this way? Without question, yes. Purchase Most DVDs have copy protection and bypass would be punishable according to § 95a UrhG, synonymous You can create when you pursuant to § 53 private copying.

Apart from the technical effort for the conversions, you're running it on a purely legal point of view very, very thin ice. I do not synonymous understand why DVDs that they legally possess, would want to evaporate spasm, but we are probably at the core of the whole thing, I believe: synonymous at your existing "VOBs" may be nothing other than things already ripped or you want fast times A COPY of 'nen "friend" make synonymous and that would be illegal. Just leave it and prefers times wondering whether it would perhaps not meet your / your media consumption synonymous differently ...
