I have a very fresh SonyVX2100. I have a Firewire cable synonymous and bought a firewire PCI card. Now I have already mitgekriegt that Firewire general problems, but I still have no solution found ...
So: I have the vx2100 in the menu of the VCR mode "/ V> DV OUT to ON mode. I concur with the PC Camera s.den is the screen then click "DV IN". However I get when capturing in Movie Maker and WinDV, the error message that it is no camera connected.
Since my camera to the Firewire port noticed, I think to know that the card works. Other hand, I find the card anywhere in the Device Manager / Control Panel, etc. (maybe I look synonymous wrong)
Which one is the problem, or know one, why this is?

can be seen. it must be smoke-abe not limited to this software, I have any other freeware durchprobiert. the time where I will still premiere using ... capturing the moment but should generally work with any program. as I said, every time camcorder is not connected, if I understand the statements of the Programs to be believed. But the Camcroder shows me "DV IN" on ....

first a question: You want the material of DV tape to your PC, get it? Why do you schal dan AV / DV is On? This mode is for the digitizer of analog recordings. So turn times the AV / DV mode to OFF. Then it can still be the Winbugs XP Service Pack 2 with Firewire problems makes. Since gitb it synonymous to various topics. and try a different capture tools.

This is not necessarily a contradiction. The camera recognizes the PC but the PC is not the Camera. That there are relatively frequent.

I have the card now just by all PCI slots stories that I have (5) and at last, the PC recognized the card!
