Frage von Gast4:Very poor results with Sony VMC-K100 Adapter for Active Interface Shoe (AIS) on Microphone jack
Yesterday I received in the U.S. ordered SonyVMC adapter-K100. Already at the first hearing of the test shots (SonyHC90) I had the impression that my external mics sound a little different than usual. After extensive testing, I believe the cause to have found:
The crosstalk between the two audio channels is extremely high. After my attempt at full on the left channel signal on the right channel with-18dB about durchkopiert! A bad joke, for example, leads to voice recordings in a relatively quiet environment (interview) to a strange dull-unnatural-distorted sound of voices.
An adapter error I think is unlikely, since my two copies of the same behavior. Poor signal in the Camera would be conceivable, but in my HGZ1, this effect does not occur. That is why I suspect the adapter as the cause. Other Cams with AIS, I do not have to play here.

hab vmck100 with the 4 different microphones tested, but I noticed nothing. 'm just glad that finally the drive noises are no longer.
you have a stereo microphone used?
Antwort von paulpope:
Here is the datasheet of the built-in amplifier (in VMCK100 in SSOP8 design installed):

Maybe you can help the next. The NJM4580 is supposed to be very good.

Oh, was not logged in, therefore can not edit.
If you're clever, you can solder a different amplifier.
I will provide a stereo microphone, and debug it.
Antwort von Gast4:
Thanks for your answers.
Stereomic helps in the investigation, obscured the effect. Only when I put Monomic with Monoklinke did ichs seen. avi file is loaded into sound editor: Left channel peak-to 2dB, right channel waveform equal to-18dB, but somehow distorted and muffled, booming.
I would be really interested to know whether it can reproduce the result.
Let there be no misunderstanding: It is with the inclusion of results of course live. And who is not concentrated hinhört, probably did not notice that its not so Micro sounds as it could. Better than the Hiss Micro is built with it.

How should it be otherwise in a Monomic?
Just take the track on which was recorded (the fair) and copy it to the other.
Now have my HST1 modification compared with the vmck100. On the following picture has left a recording with a converted hst1 (no signal) to see with the right vmck100 (stronger signal).
zum Bild The recording with the vmck100 sounds better.
I now have the bottom of the track vmck100 removed and the upper track down played (ie, from mono to stereo). Other .. wow. I am going to sound samples on my blog post.
