Hello together,
hope here in the forum at the following problem to get a tip.
Problem: Do me a new notebook (Acer 5611, Intel 1.6 DuoCuore,
FP 120 GB, 2 GB AS, Nvidia 7300 Go 256 MB, Win XP SP / 2) increased. Unfortunately I am not sure that this notebook is no internal firewire (like my old NB) has. I listened to a PCMCIA combo card (2xUSB +2 xFirewire A / B) of DeLOCK dazugekauft. Videocam When I use a Canon MVX-30i. Video software I use currently Magix Video Pros 2005/2006. During the reading of the video in Magix remains the program after 2-3 minutes (fixed) and can no longer operate and the cam is no longer recognized. Reinstall all software (operating system synonymous) and (current) Drivers of all devices did not change. The same error occurs synonymous with Windows Movie Maker on - Magix So no fundamental problem. Videocam and Firewire card are on the Device Manager easily recognized.
Weiss anyone advice?

At your place I would try your video footage via USB to import, if you have a cable.
This is very probably that with the Firewire jack to do with it.

Na USB cable to connect and Import. When my camera was the USB cable already. I need only open the Import Wizard to import and click ...... . Very easy

Uwe M. Ich hab ne Panasonic NVGS 180 goes to the full as easy but the Canon is guaranteed otherwise.
If I want to import my files I have an assistant open the Controls and the whole.
Guaranteed knows someone else with better products from Canon ....
