Frage von danielson:Hi All,
often I have found here is a solution to one of my problems. Now a new PC is due - but is now primarily concerned with the question whether a video card would make sense. For some opinions I would, despite the many similar questions here, very grateful. I consider myself as short as possible:
The requirement (import & cut)
- HD Material of Sony HDV Camera (Disk: DV tapes)
- AVCHD material of Panasonic HDC-SD1 (media: SDHC)
- Output at 1920x1080 (Full HD "?) On blu-ray disc
- Software used: CS4 Premiere / Encore CS4
Shortly to the PC, has been selected:
- Lntel P55 Express Motherboard
- Intel Core i7 860 @ 2,8 Ghz
- 8 GB of RAM DDR3 @ 1333 Mhz
- 2 x 1.5 TB HDD
- Nvidia Quadro FX 580 (521MB Dual DVI)
- 6x Bluray writer
- 500 watt power supply
- Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
My question: Exactly where, or how would a video card to speed up the tasks ahead?
Respectively. In this case, there is possibly an easier way to the PC using the computation of additional hardware?

Exactly where, or how would a video card to speed up the tasks ahead? Not at all, because you do not need you anything you need to digitize. What are you'd want to join s.eine video card?

Hi Mark,
I thought since less s.externe Connections to outsource more s.The possible computational load of the CPU s.The sectional map. But I gather from your statement that such a capture card just for import / export of data is thought?
Are you of the opinion that the processing / wait times with the specified configuration will be tolerable? Or is it worth it s.der one or another component to spend more money? Am now at 1500, - net.

Although I am not Mark, but Yes, this is so.

Whether this is the case with you, I do not know, with Premiere, I know I do not like it. Dependent, there may be synonymous specific hardware recommendations for the graphics card. The rest of your hardware list looks good.

To synonymous again cause something next to:
NLE editing cards, there were "back then" a few years ago and they were explicitly designed to relieve the burden of the processor. In addition, they had to import more synonymous various analog inputs and outputs to analog sources in the cutting machine.
Today must be able to NLE editing cards sowas no longer (there are occasional professional solutions accelerate certain Programs may - at least as concerns the real-time display on external monitors), because the processors can do much more. Such NLE editing cards of today are usually limited. only on the provision of inputs and outputs now (but synonymous synonymous digital like HDMI or SDI).
