Frage von Michael Merten:Hi,
I have about 50GB, present (4 hours) video in the AVCHD format on my hard drive. Since the videos but I would like to distribute a maximum of 3 DVDs, I have to compress it with the help of a codec. To view the videos on a projector, the codec has a very good image quality at low bit rate. The videos will be exclusively played on the PC and therefore it is not necessary that support this format DVD player. Please let me know with, if you have any idea what codec I can take.

Hi Michael,
if you have a good player software, you can actually burn normal DVD video discs. Four hours can be (and depending on the quality of the material!) Synonymous accommodate two blanks. The advantage would be that the synonymous Image-/Tonträger on standalone DVD players run, if the synonymous right now is not so important.
Alternatively, you could encode the movies into DivX format. This codec is often made when movies of DVD to be copied to CD. The quality is surprisingly good.

I take time to archive, right?

I'd do with the Canopus Procoder of
or with the MPEG encoder of MainConcept.
Are both easy to use and provide very good quality.

The who wants to understand, I certainly do not.
Which is it DVD or PC? Make up your mind!
On the projector directly from a PC I would DV AVIausgeben.
The VGA output s.Laptop / PC is best suited to.
I just practiced in my seminars Sun
However, I have a VGA splitter in between,
so that I can see on the monitor,
what people see on the screen.

: Yes, I want the videos loss as possible to archive to DVD's.
: Problem: 50GB of video, I would need about 10 DVDs.
ARCHIVE?
Why not go back to DV tape?
Power, but everyone does it make sense.
:
: The PC is the video of the play DVDs and output to the projector.
Why, then, for anything in the world is not DV?
Do I understand this?
On the Calculator but space is full, if not,
Plates are cheaper than DVD's.
:
: The projector is connected via DVI with the PC.
So best way to ensure trouble-free output to projector.
:
: Important to me is that the videos have after compressing a good image quality,
: So I can see no difference to the originals.
If you show that you have to look where you see the difference ALWAYS!
Especially when moving.
But maybe it is just too hot, so I understand the whole.
And that's why I jack me now from here.
