Frage von cogitator:Hello dear schlashCAM forum:)
I was now working in the holidays and I really wanted the money of an iMac 24 "specially designed for DV editing and motion graphics here. We use After Effects / Premiere Pro and Cinema 4D secondary.
I was my thing, "blind in Applewahn" pretty sure have been synonymous since a year Macbook, but still on my normal PC geschnitten, is now Sold.
I could but then "luckily" did not leave and was at times Alternate.de and had asked firmly, that there is almost twice the performance at the same price there.
So I have a heavy heart the dream of "iMac" separately. : P
Then I got a bit rumgeguckt and this is my current configuration:
zum Bild . . . this would have a 1 TB disk on which the footage will be saved.
I would like if possible to keep XP and the 64 bit version supports synonymous but more than 3 GB or Ram?
The graphics card is, I believe restlost exaggerated to Adobe and times with the extent of the GPU is the Programs which they can use the card again probably old anyway.
I have
¬ 1200 for the PC. Which alternative hardware hit her before.
Currently, I work with always normal DV material, which is reflected in the next 2 years I think synonymous still will not change.
Danke schon mal in advance
Best wishes David

Hi,
I have a very similar DV editing PC like the one that you've put together.
I can, so you only reinforce your projects.
However, I would you like to de luxe ASUS P5 motherboard advise.
Have Vista64 for me synonymous with 8GB of RAM in use. So clearly> 3 GB is supported ;-)
I'm very satisfied with the whole! Runs great and very stable performance.
PS. Yes to the graphics card you can save!

In short:
CPU prefer one of the new Quad - about his contacts with the new system is for the garbage when there's better CPUs. (the newer addition to the Quad have higher synonymous clock a few detail improvements noticed it again a bit fixed it - if one's not on the euro arrives, simply the better time to invest - or wait a little bit, Intel has new top grad Quad-end to miss the market and in one months later, the Prices for the current fall again).
Memory - the 1066er bring as much as garnix and is very pretty expensive - 800 with low latency is the better choice.
The Gigabyte board is good. Synonymous Asus is good, but not uniquely so well, as the chip writes the like.
The graphics card is sound, and brings power consuming for the average not the slightest. A passively cooled 9600GT NVidia or ATI HD3650 (with the drivers I still can not stand) - passive cooling if necessary, retrofit of zb Cooler Arctic Cooling or Zalmann - are likely to bring more.
The hard drive is good, but far too expensive. 2x330GB Samsung SpinPoint F1 cost half (<50 euros a piece) and are in much better as Raid (or even 3 for F1 Raid 5 - increased security, while cheaper and faster).
As a fan prefer Thermaltake TMG i2 or a Scythe Tower (zb Mugen or Ninja) with 92mm or 120mm fan.
