Have just got the HVL-HL1 light, I'm not getting anything when I raufmontier as in the Instructions for my camcorder (HC39).
Gibts note that special something or is this thing broken?

HC39 as possible for the lamp only the HVL-IRM indicated ( "cold" accessory shoe is,) that is, without contact with the camcorder. In return, will not be in the HVL-HL1 the HC39 listed as a compatible product.
Has the HC39 for an intelligent accessory shoe, ie, with electrical contacts? On the internet I find only the words "standard accessory shoe (ie without contacts).
Without electrical connection to the camcorder, the HVL-HL1 can not work because it has no proper connection for Batteries.
