DV uses the so-called interlace method on a PC monitor does so under the worst case for the representation of comb-like artifacts - but these are not aberrations. If the video output back to DV, or burned to DVD and then viewed s.Television everything is in order. S.PC For the presentation you should stop using a player that offers a decent de-interlacing. So do almost all but often only for MPEG files, not AVI.
It's not a bug, it's a feature.
