Hello Organica,
In Photoshop reduzierst / you merged visible layers into one layer. In Final Cut, there is no direct "merging" in that sense. But what you can do is nest the corresponding trace to "interlace or German:" objects ".
Mark this, the tracks that you want to summarize and choose to nest in "sequence / objects.
In this nested trace can now apply effects to be applied to all in the nest contained clips. Double-click on the nesting opens the sequence. Alt button is held, you activate the nesting in the viewer.

If you work in Pre.Pro, You can download the entire sequence, lie in your two video tracks, insert it into a new sequence. This behaves like a video track.
