Virtual Dub: Only 352x288 and 384x288 not selected
Frage von qwertz23: November 2005
Hi,
how come I can only choose 352x288 and not 384x288 as recommended in AD? Ext Leadtek PVR USB 2

Hello qwertz23!
I know not who is "n." But 352x288 is the standard resolution for VCD, different resolutions, such as the multimedia Resolution384x288 not necessarily be supported on CDs (except SVCD), or may be released when the expert settings.
Such election 384x288 format only makes sense if you do not want to use the final product for Pal TV. It leads to unnecessary distortions and thus to loss of quality.

VirtualDub is as innocent ;-)
I take s.du mean the image size when recording (capture). VD queries the video device or its drivers, the picture size can deliver the device. Apparently, this video offers the device video CD on a typical image size.
About the resize filter you can do that but always in the post or - for powerful Calculator and good drivers - directly change during recording.
For Tonproblem ... http://forum.slashcam.de/viewtopic.php?p=114260 # 114,260
You fall exactly in the case of AVI capture (due to VD) and no DV codec (because of the "exotic picture size" and wants of VD Drivers umcompressed "have).
You can probably the audio lines using the line-lead in the sound card and then add the sound. VD holds luckily the video - a good audio synchronicity.
