Hello,
I have a problem with Virtual Dub.
And while I take a video with the help of Fraps and want to compress this reisengrosse File with Virtual Dub and the divX codec.
The new file now appears much darker than the original, but if I do
re-loading in Virtual Dub, the color indicated correctly.
Even though I be targeted the video, the first preview image will appear in the Explorer in the right light. I Run the video but with VLC or Media Player wirds comically dark reproduced.
I try auszugleicen round with a brightness filter, the video is better represented when playing a little while but the thumbnail is udn too bright when I light the video with Virtual Dub open ists synonymous with

That just the brightness in the player or the graphics card is blocked, you've already ruled out with certainty, is it?

Here http://nato.daddeln.de/pv/index.php?nav=forum&show=thread&id=118 what is with the RGB32 color format, and reports too dark picture. In VirtualDub you can with video -> Color Depth specify how the encoder is fed (right column at 1.6, lower line for 1.5 and earlier). Default is RGB24, perhaps a change will help to RGB32?
Very deep speculation, if everything else did not help: When playing under the media player and VLC is a different decoder (codec with DirectShow interface) in the game than when reading in VirtualDub (codec with VFW) interface.
Which decoder with DirectShow interface comes into question, can you find out with the freeware Gspot. If further details as is known, one can start looking to see if it a setting or newer versions ... There.
When playing on the DirectShow interface is synonymous overlay the graphics card and use VirtualDub is on the playing not so, therefore, may be synonymous to the show "too dark effect" just because? In any case, that would be another Einstellerei the graphics card for the overlay display.

it renders the video. Its only at my place too light to dark times must RUMT well:)
