there have a problem with virtualdub: I wanted with the program to make my video file an edge drum (due to overscan on television), has worked synonymous. If I want to save it now but there comes out an 8 GB file to play when rumstockt.
however, anything you can do???
Antwort von Stefan:
Yes, quite simple: the video compression of uncompressed now move to the desired codec.
This is the most common problem with spacing when entering the video editing with VirtualDub. Unfortunately, Avery Lee has chosen the default full conversion (Full Processing) and uncompressed (uncompressed).
The Einstellerei the video codec are you doing at the menu and the submenu Video Compression (shorthand: Video -)> Compression.
Good luck The fat Stefan
Antwort von Nightfly!:
By default, Virtualdub saves the video as AVI Uncompressed.
You have to come under Video -> Compression ... Select a codec (zBMJPEG) or get the 8GB file with another program in the codec format of your choice.

Yep, everything went well!!

hmmmmm .... But now is the rather poor quality has become ..... You can do something against that?
Antwort von Stefan:
Yes. Take better video codec or postmaster's quality. What have you got taken for a codec and how did you set that?
Good luck The fat Stefan
Antwort von Floriansss2:
I've taken XVID and I even do not have anything set .......
Antwort von Stefan:
Then go ahead. Tip: Try it with a short but typical snippet from before you durchnudelst the entire movie.
Instructions are available at a http://www.doom9.org/xvid-vdub-11.htm
I would, as proposed here, with the AS @ L5 profile / level and 2-pass encoding to start.
But what is completely different - where the video should be played? If you are belittling the Picture and an artificial framework drummachst wg. S.TV overscan, I suggest that it should be played on the TV.
Do you do on the PC => TV, or do you want to use a special Xvid-enabled DVD player? When Xvid-compatible DVD player, then you need to consider what the s.Profil / Level accepted! When using PC => TV, can you save depending on your hardware, the Neuencoden. Basically, the player or the video card drivers can make the border around while playing.
Good luck The fat Stefan

So, I wanted to watch DVD player with nem aufm ferrnseher
Antwort von Floriansss2:
hmmmmm ... in my VirtualDub is there where we should set the profile @ level nothing .....
Antwort von Nightfly!:
If your player can play Divx (or Xvid) is the pediatric patients with virtualdub and the Divx codec (xvid codec).
If your player, but "only" normal video can play DVDs, you virtualdub benefit nothing.
Namely, then you need a program that provides you MPEG2.
is well, if the video is compressed from scratch, then the quality is of course a bad car ...

It depends of your starting XviD version. In the previous stable version of Koepi 1.0.3, it is not at all. With the new beta versions in S.1.1 Koepi or Nic is so, as in the guide shown above.
