Hello dear community,
We have purchased a Canon Vixia HF S10 camcorder for the University. Now my question is whether one can produce recordings with the device via PC synonymous as a webcam capture. We would like to use the camcorder for Live-Produktionen/Webcast / Video -Chat/E-Learning. Especially because of the large zoom would open up some possibilities.
I had already telephoned with the Canon help desk and told the employees that it will probably work with third-party software. Synonymous had already tried a lot but so far without success. The problem is that logs the cam in the USB mass storage mode only.
How do you think? Is that possible or I try it in vain?

Via USB you can not. At best, about the tapping of the analog or digital AV outputs. Here we recommend a HDMI capture card like the Blackmagic Design Intensity (see http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/intensity/).
