Hello! I have to rename a problem with a DVD-VR recorded from TV with a Philips DVD recorder to edit it in Premiere (or another program). The problem is actually a double, on the one hand because I Vob file "can not simply rename in mpg (when nothing happens), but synonymous, that I once got the tip, the VOB files of such DVD's in (I knows it is no longer just rename ...) m2p or m2v. Synonymous but that does not work (more, as it was then time) worked. What can be wrong? I probably should have had time probably something on the PC, which has in some form with VOB/M2V/M2P been in contact since that time I had these files for a "real" icon, while I now see only those cool icons where a reference to the program is missing. Does it have to do with a codec, or indeed with a program or a part of it? Unfortunately I can not restore the timing, s.dem this was so, because I had to kill viruses due to the time times the entire PC or FP. Maybe someone knows the Council because it would afford to these things taken from the TV not being able to edit, but I've synonymous for some of my own twisted films on DVD and unfortunately only on DVD, I get the time to edit into a program would Grateful for any hint / tip greets you Markus

Hello SteveB! I looked up there once and I came about this page as a kind of detour in a very natural, simple solution. You (or I) should have let only the views show file extensions, I would have probably noticed, which is why the simple renaming did not work ..... but synonymous, the matters described on the site are very interesting, once they got in with The Faves packed.
