please excuse my noobigen questions, but I'm still relatively new in the video business and in this regard would have 2 questions:
1. Why is despite the success story of the DV format, the Beta SP format is still a professional? What does the Beta SP technically better?
2. If on a computer - or Beta SP tape generally recorded in half-frames .. synonymous when the source material is progressive?

Hello,
either DV or BetaSP are current format, but a bygone era.
Both format continues record in PAL (SD) interlaced, never progressive.
BetaSP has been a professional format, a consumer DV format. BetaSP had a much longer time s.Markt than DV. Hardly anyone claims that BetaSP technically superior to the DV format, so only the beta cameras (optics, were handling, etc.) the DV cameras, and therefore superior to most professional.
