The following picture shows a Steadicam. Did you this with "harness with the gallows?
zum Bild The advantage of such a system is to stabilize the moving camera. Sure you know that recordings are made freehand while running, totally blurred, and thus are of no use. With a proper stabilization system (Steadicam "), these movements are buttery, just as if the camera floats freely in space.
