Frage von UH:Hello,
have some pictures (of Canon XM-2, Resolution1488 x 1128), I am working with an image program (Canopus Imaginate, with Full Resolution Sample movements, transitions, ...).
Now I will, of course, afterward in an HD format output (eg, 1140 x 1080) to get my picture-Resolutionzu.
The whole I will then play on my laptop and via VGA / DVI on Television.
There is of course s.Codecs a wide choice, I have now injected a bit on the Indeo 5.11, synonymous of this Resolutionencodiert.
(and is free). Other professional HD codecs usually cost a few euros - and whether the pictures are better for normal?
Gibts sensible / better alternatives than the Indeo?
Thanks for hints
Regards
Ulrich

WMV (Windows Media Video)
Antwort von Markus:
Hi Ulrich,
Your stills are indeed progressive. As an alternative to 1080/50i (interlaced, HDV2 Special-fiction) that you could HDV1 use 720/25p format (1280 × 720).
With 5:11 Indeo video I created already synonymous high-resolution (progressive) film. This I later encode to WMV and MPEG1 format, so they can be played on any computer.

wmv is certainly a good choice, I agree with Jurgen right. DivX also can be good, could in principle be synonymous mjpeg-avi codecs used (but which already cost) what.
Intermediate codec (Cineform, Canopus HQ) only make sense if one wants to cut - and cost her money. The Cineform codec gibts synonymous in a 14-day 5rial - of www.cineform.com
