Infoseite // What Digital8 cameras can Video8/Hi8 play?

Aloha!

I have slowly but surely out my old tapes to DVD Video8/Hi-8 ban. Now I have a little idea how to accomplish this would be s.besten.

According to Wikipedia achieved the best results if you have a Digital8 camera uses, as these old videos directly digitally converted.

Now there is but just that there are supposedly only 2 models of Sony Is that support this feature. In ebay.de however I have found 2 other models, where the Anbeiter indicate that there are also those with the possibility of analog tapes to play.

I understand the statement on Wikipedia or wrong they simply not true? If Wikipedia is wrong, there is a list somewhere with my camera which projects would be done?

The statement is false, as it currently only one model with this ability, namely the TRV480. The Wikipedia also called TRV238 is not a D8, but "only" a Hi8 camcorder, the ability to digitize logically missing.

Well, yes it seems as if the choice is really very limited.

As is the consequence to me whether I was not just to a Hi-8 model will take. Is the quality difference so great?

Was it not about you, the analog Video8 and Hi8 tapes to digitizer, in order to be able to burn DVD? That can be a Hi8 camcorder of course, not without additional external A / D converter.

Well, I can but the analog signal through a composite input einspeißen, or not? Hab sowas years ago with an old VHS made. Only the content quality is not as exhilarating.

Somehow misleading with respect to the statement that only the 480E would have this ability.

My change of Hi8 to Digital8 I have with the TRV460 and TRV735E performed. Both Hi8 abspielfähig.

Was not synonymous with the quality of digitization? Otherwise, it would be totally Wursch which hardware to be abused. ;-)

This statement referred only to the current series s.D8 cameras. Most recently, only the TRV480 will be able to play analog tapes. In the first series, however, were still all devices. That was the argument for Hi8 film, since, despite switching to a digital to analog camcorder recordings could play.

That is the explanation! The TRV480 is the only CURRENT D8 camcorder, Hi8 tapes of the digitizer, but of course there are lots of other Sony D8, which is synonymous to - are only just the older models which are now no longer be offered. Hast thou the above-linked thread does not read?

For me there is one major difference is when someone says that it currently only provides a model which has these capabilities and really believes that, among the current models only one there who has that ability.

Your type of formulation that includes from that for the moment any other models of Sonyals would give the TRV480 which possess such capabilities. Regardless of whether older or newer.

And Yes, I have read through the links. And precisely because of my osAussage consisted Page yes this still unclear.

Video Hello colleagues, at the moment it is unfortunately the case that Sonynur nor the DCR-TRV270 as Digital8 model sells. This camera has the drawback, no V8 and Hi8 Video clip. Ie, with the only available s.Markt new Digital8 camcorder, it is no longer possible to old tapes digitizer. This I agree that Sony has no great interest s.Digital8 more. I had 7 years to keep a TRV355 unfortunately quite abruptly abandoned their minds. The Sony repair service gave me an estimate of EUR 350, which I gratefully refused. I am now in the kitchen Still Image DCR-TRV270 ordered, and so will my Digital8 cassettes as AVI files on hard disk. Per hour of video approximately 13-14 GB of space. At today's prices for 500-GB disks, the space is affordable.
I will then either MiniDV, HDV or AVCHD change.
But now is my big problem: I have 5 more Hi8 tapes that I necessarily need AVI files. Who of you with a suitable SonyDCR-TRV XXX can make it for me? I would tape with you my external hard drive and send again picked up. I would show evidence of course synonymous. (@ Channel rat about what is not for us?) The professional services on the Internet machens only on DVD.
So please notify you, it is your loss not his.

Unfortunately, I have the cameras no longer work. But I did it, fortunately sold s.einen friend. Maybe he lends it to me. I can promise it is not.

Time it would be possible only s.dem 21.12.07, professionally since I'm currently very deeply.

I had always a Hi 8 camera lent to the growth
talent to be documented, and then as its own camera
decency, I am opposed to DV for D 8 and decided to
old Hi 8 tapes to play .. since 2001 is my DCR-TRV 740E
perfectly. . .
