You know what I FireWire cable for NV-GS 280 needed for laptop? 4/4-polig or 4/6-polig? Have the camera and the cable would not like this too.

Cameras (almost always) a 4-pole jack. There are the additional 2 wires of a 6 pin connector for power, but not sufficient for a DV camera, would be a 6-pin connector makes little sense here.

Unfortunately, most PC laptops have the same 4-pole as the camera, except for Mac's laptops as far as I have the white pin 6th
