Hi, folks!
I did notice a short time SteadyCam JR at home and unfortunately had to recognize that the part is absolutely NOT suitable for the HC1 :-(
balance despite repeated (and several hours), the experimental part, it failed in my opinion s.dem low center of gravity of the action.
(or unfortunately s.der coarse adjustment of the JR)
Has anyone a hint what I can use in this case?

Why You get a bad ball joint, some aluminum profiles from the DIY and something Angelblei.
Before vorbeigucken times when Hobbythek who have already sowas handicrafts.
Your camera weighs 620 grams, as it ought to be probably no problem, crafting a simple levitation stand on your own.

As I have lived in a small town, there are few dealer to drive the things like that - and they have not usually stocked.
This would force me to the part to be planned carefully in advance and then to order.
I been racking my head how to calculate the weights and angles could be ....
Perhaps're PHYSICS students among you!? ;-)
(Lever law is clear to me)
I am still looking for a formula (or method), how do I get to the (3D) focusing of the camera ...

Such mal schwebestativ project after Hobbythek.
have with the material costs 30 euro one schwebestativ manage it.
the most important (and expensive) is still the ball joint, the bottom of the hold, above the camera. alu u profile is Billich and stable, some screws, ne puk saege and a drill, the whole is finished. does not look pretty, but it works. The pendulum itself is then easily made.
And then there is a spherical joint at the webshop hama. or place in the dealer before you order.
pendulum achso, of motion. of gravity of the whole it is in the center of the ball joint, not in the camera.

With the JR I've made the experience that is not enough to balance the weight alone - it is necessary to modify the upper and lower center of gravity!
(And if you know not to stop doing it hard, or you will NEVER achieve the desired result ...- it was pure coincidence!)

the weight on the focus is too large, the camera falls to page. is under the weight of gravity too high, can not commute the camera. pendulum weight hangs next to the axis, the camera is wrong.
So this is not so difficult.

yes, clearly - in the Instructions of the JR they call it the upper and lower SP.
can be shifted in emphasis JR
(by screws and inserting a kl. plastic part) - that works wonders, as this one can refine the coarse setting!
If you look at the construction of Hobbythek, is such a possibility, unfortunately, does not provide ...
FOR THAT REASON I've been thinking this one would have to build yourself - and I need the formulas ;-)

Hi, folks!
I received yesterday my "floating tripod".
It was inside of 40min. perfectly balanced.
The first shots are synonymous OK and you notice a significantly
profihafteren touch of the recordings ;-)
The following things will be improved:
- The screw head, with the cam is run, is too long. (one comes so easily s.and blurred the Recording)
- The ball joint is unfortunately not as smooth as the universal joint of SteadyCam JR. (What in the pan and unwanted stress on passing the counter-measures) degenerates
- The handle should be perpendicular, so you need not necessarily tilt the wrist so unnatural to the front! (bad for the wrists and also because it pushes forward slightly anm "end" of the ball now!
- The "movement" of SteadyCam JR is generally much greater than through the universal joint.
A big pros is that in the package at 203 ¬
(including shipping to Austria) an HC1-kit was here that one looks in vain in the above competition!
I hope my "A review will help" future-SteadyCam candidates in the choice of hardware ;-)

May I ask where the tripod have now ordered. I own a synonymous HC1 and wonder what could be suspended tripod suitable.

Meanwhile, I wonder whether a solution with universal joint (such SteadyCamJR) not be better ...
However, you will find nothing comparable to THE PRICE --
at least I'm very very long search and found nothing;)
